The property at 3 Pastrude experienced persistent water buildup around the lawn area, especially during heavy rain. Because several basement windows were positioned below lawn level, rainwater accumulation created a high risk of water entering the basement.

To permanently resolve the issue, excavation work was performed to a depth of approximately four feet around critical drainage zones. Underground piping was installed to collect water directly from the gutter downspouts and safely redirect it toward a rear underground rainwater collection system.

In addition, a French drain system was constructed in areas where water consistently pooled on the lawn, causing swamp-like conditions and soil saturation. This system allows excess groundwater to disperse efficiently below the surface, preventing standing water and protecting the home’s foundation.

To preserve the property’s appearance, the existing lawn was carefully cut, removed, and stored prior to excavation. After completing the drainage installation, the lawn was professionally reinstalled, restoring the landscape while avoiding visible damage or disruption.

The completed solution significantly improves site drainage, protects basement windows from water intrusion, and maintains the natural look of the outdoor space while providing long-term protection against future flooding issues.
